A PHILOSOPHY
A COMMITMENT

"P" LIKE PRODUCER
"I have profound respect for these committed, passionate men and women.Their produce has a history that we try to relate in our kitchen."
"Small committed producers who live close to their land or sea, scrupulously respect the rhythm of seasons and tides... This is the occasion to thank them all profusely!"

A TRUE WELCOME
Welcoming is alchemy. Denis Courtiade, restaurant manager, knows how to operate this magic.
With eagerness, discretion, a few gestures and words.
A TRUE WELCOME
Marks of attention accompany the customer throughout his meal: a cereal tile, some thin slices of rice bread, marine appetizers, cooked rice offered before the cheese, some "tired" fruit (i.e., compotes, "forgotten" on the corner of the stove) before the coffee, a Manufacture de Chocolat Alain Ducasse bar to accompany the end of the meal. Denis and his team are the craftsmen of their guests' happiness.
A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF TABLEWARE
Artisans and inspired designers, delicately worked raw materials , eclecticism of styles and origins. A collection of pieces, each of them telling their own story but all telling the story spun by Alain Ducasse for his restaurant at the Plaza Athénée. A set of rare and precious materials coexist with others, more simple and crude. Forms of yesterday and today. Table objects selected by Alain Ducasse himself to achieve perfect harmony between the container and the content.
A UNIQUE COLLECTION OF TABLEWARE
The delicate plate-object that greets the client - linking the Earth to the sea by both its shape and material - is designed by Pierre Tachon who also created the marble pepper mortar (made by Mustapha Messaoudi) . Pieces crafted by Japanese craftsmen Hidetotsu Kawakatsu and Shinichiro Ogata (Studio Simplicity).Black earthenware African tajines by Gérard Crociani. The reissue of 3T cutlery by Roger Tallon. JL Coquet dishes from an original Marc Held model . Rina Menardi ceramics. The glass votive candle holder blown in Murano, in Aristide Najean's workshop , and designed by Patrick Jouin.
Pierre Tachon / Graphic and Product Designer
He created the visual identities of Alain Ducasse restaurants such as Le Jules Verne, Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester, Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse, Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée or Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse à l’Hôtel de Paris. His agency, Soins Graphiques also created the Structure plate for Le Jules Verne, inspired by the structure of the Eiffel Tower, the Volute plate for the Le Meurice restaurant, as well as the"Cookpot", a timeless cooking object. He is also artistic director to Editions Alain Ducasse for which he provides direction for the 'Nature' , "I like" (Paris, Monaco, New York and London) and 'Best of ' Collections. For Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée, in addition to the creation of tableware, he also designed the new graphic identity and its declination on a delicate handmade Japanese paper, in natural, nearly rustic coulours, on which a silver imprint is delicatly heat-embossed. Objects that perfectly embody the spirit of the restaurant, an alliance of contemporary design and traditional craft.
